An Update from IACAC
IACAC is carefully monitoring the situation within the state of Illinois related to COVID-19 and continues to rely on the guidance of the Governor’s office, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control. Given this guidance, the following is recommended.
College Fairs
Updates on fair cancellations can be found here.
Plane O’ Fun
The 2020 Plane O’Fun has been canceled. Registrants have been contacted regarding refunds.
District Seminars
The Northwest District Seminar at Northern Illinois University scheduled for March 13 has been canceled.
The West & North Suburban District Seminar at Dominican University scheduled for March 13 has been canceled.
The Southern District Seminar at Rend Lake College scheduled for March 17 has been canceled.
The Western District Seminar at Monmouth College scheduled for March 27 has been canceled.
Annual Conference
At this time, our Annual Conference, scheduled for April 22-24, has been canceled. Please read the letter from President-elect Megan O’Rourke for additional details.
CAP Programs
The College Awareness and Preparation (CAP) Committee has canceled both Motivate Me and Camp College.
MMI
Middle Management Institute scheduled for June 17-18 has been canceled.
Elevate
Elevate has moved its start date to August instead of June.
IACAC will continue to coordinate with local, state, and national health officials to ensure that we are following their guidance.
