Published annually in September, the Update is an important resource that allows counseling professionals to have vital statistics and information for a large number of institutions at their fingertips.
The College Advising Guide for Undocumented Students is designed to provide assistance to the high school counselors in Illinois who work with undocumented students. It is our hope that through outreach and greater access to accurate information, college will be possible for all who want to attend.
The College Day/Night Calendars include listings for college fairs sponsored by ICE (Illinois College Exposition), NACAC, the City of Chicago, and community colleges hosting transfer programs. These calendars are available to the public.The calendars listing IACAC-approved programs and a comprehensive calendar that lists all programs are available to IACAC members only.
The High School and Community College Visit Guide contains a listing of all Illinois high schools and community colleges, as well as the contact personnel and visitation policies for each school. It is a valuable resource when scheduling recruitment visits.
NACAC’s has combined the Guiding the Way to Higher Education: Step-by-Step to College Workshops for Students curricula with resources from the Families, Counselors and Communities Together (FCCT) manual to create the new Step by Step: College Awareness and Planning for Families, Counselors and Communities.
