Conference 2012 > Project Reach

Project Reach

Project Reach is IACAC’s service project. We hope to touch the lives of many students by collecting and donating school supplies and college counseling items to a high school (or high schools) in need. The recipient of this year’s award will be announced at the IACAC Annual Conference.

Donations

Project Reach Donation Books

We encourage IACAC members to donate new school supplies that are appropriate for high school-aged students/classrooms. Donations will be collected at each of the seven District Seminars held throughout the state in March and at the Annual Conference.

Please consider donating some school supplies, including (but not limited to):

  • Backpacks, book bags, pencil cases
  • Pens, pencils, copy paper, construction paper, note pads, spiral notebooks
  • Markers, highlighters, folders, calendars
  • Gift cards to Office Max/Depot, Target, etc.
  • College guide books (as your office gets ready to recycle a previous version)
  • College posters and pennants

Cairo Junior/Senior High School was the recipient of Project Reach 2011. Tornadoes and flooding in the spring of 2011 devastated the small historic town of Cairo in southern Illinois. The natural disasters seriously compromised their already delicate economic condition. From the generosity of IACAC members and community businesses, Project Reach raised more that $1,500 and numerous supplies for the students of Cairo.
