in-house professional development speaker series

The Cadre Program is designed for professionals who cannot take the time out of their building or who do not have the resources to attend other professional development opportunities, such as District Seminars or the Annual Conference. The Cadre Program provides IACAC expert speakers who travel to your school for an in-service day or short presentations on a topic of your choice. There is no charge for this service.

Some of the topics in the past have included:

  • How to write a strong letter of recommendation
  • Financial aid information
  • Undocumented student issues
  • First generation student challenges
  • Class rank and weighted grades

The topics are endless. If your school is interested in this program, please fill out the request form and an IACAC representative will contact you to further discuss your topic and being search for a presenter.

Providing the Cadre Program at no charge is made possible by the generosity of the NACAC Imagine Grant. Thank you to Iris Schrey for applying for the grant and to IACAC’s retirees for assisting with the program.
