Professional Development Grants
IACAC offers a variety of grants for professional development opportunities to its members. Those who apply by the January 15th priority deadline will be notified by March 1st. Following the priority deadline, grants will only be awarded if funds are still available. The final application deadline is March 15th.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for any IACAC grant, you must be an IACAC Member in good standing and fulfill the expectations of the requirements as stated in each grant’s description. Priority will be given to individuals/institutions who have not received a grant in the past two years.
IACAC Annual Conference
May 2-4, 2012
Itasca, Illinois
Apply for the IACAC Annual Conference Grant
Priority deadline: January 15
Final deadline: March 15
- A limited number of full and partial grants will be awarded
- Recipients are required to submit an article about a the session they attend for possible publication in the IACAC Admissions Essay Newsletter
- The rules of the IACAC Fiscal Policy regarding authorized expenses (Section IV) for travel and meals apply
- Grants for hotel expenses are for 50% of the cost of a double room, for up to two nights
Middle Management Institute
June 7-8, 2012
DePaul University
Apply for the Middle Management Grant
Priority deadline: January 15
Final deadline: March 15
- 1 grant awarded covering registration fee, hotel expenses, and transportation
- Grants for hotel expenses cover 50% of the cost of a double occupancy room
- This is a reimbursable grant and is payable after the conference
- The rules of the IACAC Fiscal Policy regarding authorized expenses (Section IV) for travel and meals apply
- Recipients are required to submit an article about one of the sessions they attend for possible publication in the IACAC Admissions Essay Newsletter
Summer Institute
July 22-25, 2012
Elmhurst College
Apply for the Summer Institute Grant
Priority deadline: January 15
Final deadline: March 15
- 1 grant will be award awarded covering registration which includes double occupancy lodging and meals

Plane O’Fun
July 22-27, 2012
New York City / New Jersey
Apply for the Plane O’Fun Grant
Deadline: March 16
- Applicants must submit an application for the trip along with the deposit prior to applying for a grant
- 2 grants worth $350 each will be awarded to counselors who assist under-represented students
- Preference will be given to counselors that have not received a grant in the past and must presently be IACAC members
- Recipients are required to submit an article about one of the sessions they attend for possible publication in the IACAC Admissions Essay Newsletter
NACAC Guiding the Way to Inclusion
July 29 – July 31, 2012
Houston, Texas

Final deadline: March 15
- 1 grant will be awarded
- Maximum award is $900 including registration and travel expenses
- Grants for hotel expenses are for 50% of the cost of a double room
