Committee Purpose
The Human Relations Committee serves as a catalyst -- heightening awareness, consciousness and sensitivity to the issues of culture, race, human rights, gender, age, and other differences. The HRC strives to infuse this mission in all aspects of the association and to serve as the communicator, spokesperson and advocate for "people issues." The committee continues to address issues regarding traditionally underrepresented students and college admissions professionals. The HRC develops policy recommendations to assist those who, for reasons of poverty or other disadvantaged experiences, have been denied access to post secondary educational opportunities. It develops educational programs for students and members.
