Committee Job Description
The
Human Relations Committee strives to be a catalyst
- heightening awareness, consciousness
and sensitivity to the issues of culture, human rights,
gender, age and other differences. The Human Relations
Committee strives to infuse this mission in all aspects
of the association and to serve as the communicator,
spokesperson and advocate for "people issues".
We also continue to address issues regarding traditionally
underrepresented students and college admission professionals.
The committee develops policy recommendations to assist
those who, for reasons of poverty or other disadvantaged
experiences, have been denied access to post secondary
educational opportunities. It develops educational programs
for students and members.

NACAC Human Relations Mission Statement:
The Human Relations Committee advises and serves as a
resource to the NACAC Executive Board on issues pertaining
to culture, human rights, gender, age and other differences.
The committee is the catalyst, heightening awareness
and sensitivity to these issues among the board, leadership
and membership at large.
