The College Fair for High School Counselors

Articulation Unplugged is an opportunity for private and public college and university IACAC members to provide information at a counselor college fair. It will be held after lunch at the Statewide High School Counselor Articulation Meeting at Illinois State University on Monday, September 13, 2010.
This is the 4th year of the program and last year over 350 high school counselors attended so they could have the most current information available. This program is especially helpful as many counselors are unable to visit colleges or attend college receptions. Your participation is extremely valuable for counselors and their students.

SCHOOL PROFILES
We are asking that, among the materials you bring to distribute at the fair, you include a one-page profile of your school.
One of our goals in providing this venue for high school counselors is that they could take home updated information about many colleges and universities from this one day experience. They could theoretically create their own "college admission handbook" by picking up a profile from each of your schools.
 Typical information would include: requirements for admission to your school, your admission calendar, a statistical profile of your most recently admitted class, your most popular majors, scholarship opportunities, etc. A sample profile can be downloaded here (PDF). In past two years, approximately 350 high school counselors have attended Articulation Unplugged.

HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR REGISTRATION
There is no charge for high school counselors to attend the Articulation Unplugged College Fair, but you will register directly through Illinois State University. We estimate ISU will be ready to accept your registration beginning sometime in July.
